WELCOME TO JENN'S LIFE

I obviously don't visit family and friends as much as I should, so basically this blog, is for them. To show just how much my boys have grown and what we have been up to.

Cody's trip to Critz Farms October 2009

It was a beautiful day and the FEAT group (Autism Support Group) was having an outing an Critz Farms in Cazenovia so we decided to go. At first, Cody was upset and didn't want to go. Even while we were there he didn't want to be for the first 15 or so minutes. He'd look at the animals but not care too much. Then he saw one of his new-found friends, Cameron, and his outlook turned bright. He was so glad that he was there! The animals were now FUN to watch and he couldn't wait to go and play on the big pirate ship. I still couldn't get him to go down the big slide or paint a pumpkin, but all was good. He had fun. And of course, he just had to pose with his new buddy, Cameron. I just love when my little boy makes friends by himself. And Cameron is such a cool little guy! Same interests as Cody.....After a few hours, we decided to head back home and enjoy the day outside in our front yard. We put up all our scary halloween decorations.......ooooooohhhhhhh!

Cody's 8th Birthday Party At Cam's Pizzeria

October came around too fast for us. Seems like one day it's August and we are going to the fair, and the next thing I know, we are at Cody's 8th birthday party...Yes, my baby has turned 8 years old. I can't believe it. Time flies. Cody wanted a "chef" party this year so we choose Cam's Pizzaria in Camillus where the kids could make their own pizzas. 16 kids were invited and 12 showed. Not a bad turn-out, I'd say. They were a mixed up group of cousins, friends
from Solvay Elem, and Cody's new school, Kasson Road. It was amazing to see how great all the kids got along with eachother. It was like they knew eachother right from the start. My kid can pick out some great friends, I tell ya! It was so nice to see his friends from last year come. He missed those kids so much. And to see his new friends come too was so great. And even Cody's cousins came from Binghamton to join in the fun. Cody just loves his girly cousins! Maybe soon....very soon, Cody will have a boy cousin....I guess we'll just have to wait and see. All the kids were so well behaved. A few of the kids, including Cody, needed scheduled "breaks" to not get overwhelmed, but it was great! Lots of fun and lots of gifts! Cody got lots of cool stuff from everyone! Aunt Neenee and the girls gave him a Star Wars blanket and no lie --- he won't go to bed without it! He just LOVES his soft fleece blankets! And Aunt KeeKee and Kenzie gave him a new Camp Rock lunch box filled with goodies. That gift got a few of the kids jealous. Cody didn't want to bring this lunch box to school. When I asked him why, his reply was "because it will get dirty and it's my bestest lunch box"....so we decided to make it a "pretend food" lunch box...but I must add that just the other day, he decided that he WOULD take it to school afterall and he's brought it every day since....Silly boy! Uncle Scott and Aunt Emily, as well as Great Grandma and Grandpa Moebs gave Cody money and we all know how much money burns a whole in my son's pockets. Seriously, when we were leaving Cam's he got bummed because we wouldn't go across the street to Walmart to spend his "cash".....wow!!
We played some games and ate some pizza and had a great time! Cam's had a game where you threw up a fake pizza dough in the air and try and catch it. Lots of fun for everyone! I was so extremely surprised that both Ella and Sophia (my 4 year old nieces) BOTH loved that game! And speaking of loving games, we played POKEMON BINGO and to watch Sophia's eyes light up as she yelled "BINGO" was priceless. Cody didn't win any of the 7 bingo games we played but that was ok, since his cousins won and that made him happy.
Oh and to add that both the babies, Kenzie and Abbie, were so well behaved that parents and friends were in awe. We had a great bunch of little ones there that day! Well, all the planning for the 8th birthday party is over and well spent. Never to early to start the 9th birthday party planning! LOL!
